Hailey Howell Awarded Highest Scholarship at Biola University

2014 Sep 29

Hailey Howell, a freshman of Biola University and resident of Highlands Ranch, Colo., was among 48 students who received the college's highest scholarship — the Trustee's scholarship — for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Freshmen are eligible for the Trustee's scholarship — $12,000 per year — if they meet the requirements upon entering the university. Approximately five percent of this year's incoming class received this award.

Students are considered for this scholarship based on a calculation of both their GPA and SAT/ACT test scores. A qualifying combination is an unweighted GPA of 3.7 and a combined SAT score of 1460 (both math and English scores), or an ACT of 33.

The scholarship recipients were honored with a special dessert reception hosted by President Corey, where they were celebrated for their achievements.

Students must maintain a GPA of 3.4 to continue receiving this scholarship the following year.
